Early Enrollment With No Waiting Period
With Prestige Insurance and The Blue Store, there is no waiting period for pre-existing conditions if you enroll early. Advice and treatment from a physician for pre-existing conditions is available within six months before the effective date of coverage. After that six-month deadline, you may have a waiting period for pre-existing conditions. There is no waiting period with The Blue Store if you enroll early.
If you meet the following criteria, you cannot be turned down for Blue Medicare Supplement:
- You are age 65 or older, or under age 65 and are eligible for
- Medicare due to disability (Plans A and C)
- You enroll within 6 months of enrolling in Medicare Part B
- You are not covered by certain Medicaid programs
- You are a resident of North Carolina
